1 dB Compression Point
The amount of power, typically expressed in dBm, at which the amplitude of the output of a device or circuit is reduced by 1 dB from the expected small signal gain or loss as a consequence of increased input signal magnitude.
1 dB Gain Compression
The reduction in gain (or the increase in loss) of a circuit or device by 1 dB that results from saturation as a consequence of increased input signal magnitude.
3 dB Bandwidth
The frequency interval between the 3 dB points.
3 dB Points
The points on a transfer function curve of a circuit or device where the performance of the device is degraded by 3 dB when compared to the optimal, in-band performance.
