Wireless Backhaul

MACOM has a wide portfolio of products suitable for use in the microwave and millimeter bands, from 5GHz to E-band. All of the major functions applicable to these radios are available including power amplifiers, buffer and driver amplifiers, LNAs, frequency converters, frequency multipliers, VCOs, and more. Products in a number of the bands form part of a chipset offering, and when used as a set, gives the designer optimized performance, with reduced component selection and design time. A variety of packages are available including bare die, QFN, and leadless SMD.

Wireless Backhaul: E-Band

MACOM offers products making up the major building blocks needed for a wireless backhaul E-Band transceiver. The up-converter and down-converter products are highly integrated to minimize loss and to simplify the design cycle. Both include LO buffer and multipliers, and highly linear image rejection balanced mixers. The RF buffer in the up-converter provides ample controllable gain and power to implement a 2-chip TX solution, while the LNA in the down-converter leads to a low noise linear receiver solution. A number of linear power amplifiers with built-in detectors are available. Discrete DIE products and integrated TX and RX SMD module products are both available.
