Quad 25.8G/28G CDR with Adaptive Equalization and PCML Driver
The MASC-37053A is a Quad 25.78 Gbps / 28.05 Gbps CDR with adaptive input equalization and PCML driver for use as a transmit device in optical modules. The MASC-37053A CDRs retime at 25.78 Gbps, 27.95 Gbps, and 28.05 Gbps. Each channel includes adaptive input equalization (optional programmable), a high performance CDR, and an PCML driver with programmable output swing and crossing point. The CDR is reference-free and can be bypassed to support legacy or non-standard data rates. The MASC-37053A is assembled in a 4 mm x 4.5 mm chip scale package (CSP), 94 balls and integrates diagnostic features such as PRBS31/9 generation and PRBS31 error checking. The device core is powered from a single 1.8V supply and the PCML driver is powered with 1.8V and 3.3V supplies, delivering industry’s leading low power consumption. The device is controlled through a 2-wire serial interface.
