SCTE 2015

MACOM to showcase industry leading portfolio of CATV and broadband devices enabling the evolution of modern cable networks at Cable-Tec Expo’15, New Orleans LA, in booth #2710.

To keep pace with the exponential growth in data demand while leveraging previously deployed fiber and copper, cable networks are working toward the deployment of DOCSIS 3.1 equipment.  This requires changes to the active and passive components within the infrastructure and customer premise equipment, such as higher power, linearity and bandwidth amplifiers, improved rejection filters, and a full new suite of power dividers/combiners, couplers, baluns and transformers – essentially representing a full refresh of the component toolkit.

MACOM addresses these changes with a suite of high performance active, passive and filter solutions which will be showcased at Cable-Tec Expo’15 in booth 2710.

  • DOCSIS 3.1 Passives: Industries largest portfolio of 75 Ω passive components for DOCSIS 3.1 compliant infrastructure and subscriber equipment, spanning upstream and downstream baluns, transformers, couplers and power dividers/combiners.
  • DOCSIS 3.1 Diplex Filters: Designed for compliance with legacy DOCSIS 3.0 and current DOCSIS 3.1 standards, these filters are available in vertical plug-in, horizontal plug-in and surface mount options and are ideally suited for use in CATV infrastructure, spanning nodes, system amplifiers, line extenders, drop amplifiers and RFoG ONUs.
  • MAAM-011169: DOCSIS 3.1 compliant 12V CATV amplifier delivers high output power, gain and linearity with low power dissipation.
  • 300 MHz reverse path single-ended, differential and variable gain amplifiers, which meet the challenges of next generation architectures because DOCSIS3.1 extends frequency bands in both the forward and reverse paths.
  • FTTx amplifiers that have been developed specifically to meet Radio Frequency over Glass (RFoG) and Passive Optical Network (PON) system requirements.
