MACOM Establishes European Semiconductor Center in Limeil-Brévannes, France.
Following the acquisition of the key manufacturing facilities, capabilities and technologies of OMMIC SAS, a supplier of epitaxial wafers, foundry services and MMICs based in a suburb of Paris, France, MACOM has established the site as its European Semiconductor Center.
The facility in Limeil-Brévannes, has a 40+ year heritage in material science, III-V semiconductor wafer processing and MMIC design. Its differentiated Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) compound semiconductor manufacturing capabilities include multiple European Space Agency (ESA) qualified semiconductor processes and products.
This facility will serve as a center for advanced semiconductor process development and MMIC design for µ-wave and mm-wave applications. It will also serve as a technical application support hub to provide improved service to MACOM’s European customers.
