10G Distributed Feedback Lasers

MACOM's Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser diodes are designed for direct modulation uncooled operation up to 10Gb/s. These products utilize patented Etched Facet Technology (EFT) for wafer-scale testing and manufacturing with the following benefits:

  • Etched Facet Technology enabling high performance and product uniformity
  • Wide operating temperature range for 5G wireless, PON and datacenter applications
  • Wide wavelength available: CWDM6
  • No isolator required due to high back-reflection rejection
  • Proven reliability and low FIT based on EFT laser family (more than 100 millions lasers in field)

Products are RoHS compliant, designed for Telcordia GR-468 and available either as tested dies on blue tape or packaged TO-56 can.
