MACOM has a wide portfolio of products suitable for use in microwave backhaul radio applications. Various functions are available for all commonly used bands for backhaul in the range 5GHz to E-band.

The major discrete functions applicable to microwave backhaul radios are available, including power amplifiers, buffer and driver amplifiers, LNAs, mixers, frequency multipliers, and VCOs. Products in several the bands form part of a chipset offering and, when used as a set, gives the designer optimized performance with reduced component selection and design time.

Integrated transmitter and receiver products for several of the popular bands are available. The transmitter products contain LO buffer, LO multiplier (where applicable), Image Rejection Balanced Mixer, and RF buffer. The receiver products contain LO buffer, LO multiplier (where applicable), Image Rejection Balanced Mixer, and LNA. The LO buffer and multiplier (where applicable) allows for a direct connection to a MACOM VCO. The Image Rejection Balanced Mixer provides a very linear mixing operation with good balance, and is designed to provide users with the regrowth, noise floor, and spurious performance needed to meet regulatory requirements for high order modulation platforms.

A variety of packages are available including bare die, QFN, and leadless SMD.
