25 Gbps Optical Modules

MACOM delivers industry widest portfolio of chip-sets for 25Gbps Long Reach (LR) and Short Reach (SR) optical modules, Active Optical Cables (AOC) and On-Board Optics (OBO). For short reach applications, these devices are used with VCSELs and Photodectors for optical transmission over multimode fiber. Typical reach of these applications is up to 300 meters. For long reach applications, these devices are used with DML or EML lasers and long wavelength Photodetectors. MACOM’s chip-sets support multiple data rates and protocols including 25.78 Gbps Ethernet, 24.3Gbps CPRI, 28.1Gbps Fibre Channel and OTN as well as 22.5Gbps SAS and 16Gbps PCIe.
