Octal 64 GT/s PC Ie 6.0 VCSEL Drivers with Sideband Channels

The MALD-38795 Octal 64 GT/s PCIe 6.0 VCSEL Driver with Sideband Channels is a 32 Gbaud linear transmitter. Each VCSEL driver provides 8 data channels plus 2 auxiliary channels for sidebands and a multiplexor for low-speed sidebands.  Auxiliary channels can be independently configured for high-speed sidebands (REFCLK, PCIe x1, USB3.0) or multiplexed low-speed sidebands (SMBus, PESTI, PERST#, PWNEN, CLKREQ#, WAKE#, PWRBRK# or any GPIO).  

The driver measures 3450 μm x 4700 μm, with data outputs spaced on 250 μm centers.  MALD-38795 is wire bondable dice.  MALD-38797 is a bumped, chip-scale package.  The small size, excellent linearity, low-power and compatibility with PCIe electrical idle, link training and sidebands make the MALD-38795 ideal for PCIe active optical cables.
