MATA-38794

Octal 64 GT/s PCIe 6.0 Transimpedance Amplifier with Sideband Channels

The MATA-38794/MATA-38796 Octal 64 GT/s PCIe 6.0 Transimpedance Amplifier (TIA) with Sideband Channels is a 32 GBaud linear receiver for NRZ / PAM4 modulation.   Configuration settings are accessed with a two-wire serial interface. The circuit provides 8 data channels plus 2 auxiliary channels for sidebands and a demultiplexor for low-speed sidebands.  Auxiliary channels can be independently configured for high-speed sidebands (REFCLK, PCIe x1, USB3.0) or multiplexed low-speed sidebands (SMBus, PESTI, PERST#, PWNEN, CLKREQ#, WAKE#, PWRBRK# or any GPIO).  The linear channel is compatible with PCIe link training.

Outputs are spaced on 250 μm centers for compatibility with standard optical interfaces. The TIA measures 2786 μm x 4955 μm and is supplied in waffle packs or whole/quartered wafers. The small size, excellent linearity, low-power and PCIe compatibility make the MATA-38794/MATA-38796 ideal for PCIe active optical cable links.
