M/A-COM Technology Solutions Santa Clara Design Center Moves to a New Facility with State-of-the-Art Equipment for Design and Development of Semiconductors and Solutions

Lowell, MA, November 9, 2010 – M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of
semiconductors, active and passive components and subassemblies for radio frequency (RF), microwave and
millimeter wave applications, announced today that its Santa Clara Design Center has moved to a new facility
with state-of-the-art equipment to accommodate the expanded engineering and business functions that occur at
this location. This Design Center is focused on the design and development of monolithic pHEMT integrated
solutions covering 6 to 50 GHz for commercial and military applications. M/A-COM Tech had previously
announced in May 2010 that Henrik Morkner joined the company as Director of Engineering to lead this team in
Santa Clara, and this expansion points to the group’s commitment to collaborating with our marketing teams and
customers to develop industry-leading devices.
The new Santa Clara Design Center occupies approximately 11,600 square feet and includes a 1,200 square
foot engineering lab for design and test characterization of MMICs, surface mount devices (SMDs) and
connectorized modules. In addition to new product development, the Santa Clara Design Center provides
engineering design support and Product Line Management for the Component Product Line, which covers a wide
variety of catalog and custom applications. The Santa Clara Design Center is located near the San Jose
International Airport and is across the street from Santa Clara University.
