Reinforces MACOM's continued support for customers implementing 100G, 400G and beyond optical and photonic connectivity in Asia

Shenzhen, China, October 12, 2017 – MACOM Technology Solutions Inc. (“MACOM”), a leading supplier of high-performance analog RF, microwave, millimeterwave, and lightwave semiconductor products today announces the opening of a new Optoelectronics Customer Innovation Lab aimed at delivering responsive technical and design support to its customers in Asia.

As a hub of the world’s 100G, 400G and beyond optical and photonic development, the new lab is located in KeXing Science Park, Shenzhen, and focuses on supporting customers using MACOM’s optoelectronic and photonic components to implement Cloud Data Centers, Client Access and Metro/Long-haul applications. 

The Innovation Lab is staffed with technical experts in optical communication systems, optoelectronic devices and packaging, and firmware development. The team will also be equipped to validate product performance, customer designs, performance and link analysis. MACOM’s newest facility will boast world class instruments with new facilities to generate quicker response times to customers.
