11.3 Gbps, 3.3 V Laser Driver
The M02170 is designed to drive lasers (FP and DFB) with a 25 ohm characteristic impedance used in transmitter optical sub-assemblies. It combines digital diagnostic monitoring interface compliant with XFP, SFP+ and a laser driver in a compact 5 mm x 5 mm QFN package. The M02170 features dual-loop control, which compensates for changes in laser slope efficiency over temperature and life. These features can also reduce or eliminate temperature calibration, thus improving system reliability and reducing overall cost. Integrated safety circuitry provides latched bias and modulation current shutdown if a fault condition is detected and provides an internal Vcc switch. The device comes equipped for diagnostic monitoring, offering a seamless interface for calibration and setup.
